Our Kid Connection Ministry is all about growing kid's connection to Jesus in a safe and fun environment. Our ministry to and through our children begins in the nursery through the 4th grade. From Sunday School, Children's Church, special events and Vacation Bible School, our children learn to know and experience God and to love and serve one another, their community and the world.
Sunday School - 9:00 am - Sunday School is held every Sunday at 9:00 a.m. while parents may attend our traditional worship service or a Sunday School class of their own. A warm and friendly nursery is provided for children up to age 3. Our pre-school, K-1-2 grade and 3rd and 4th grade classes use the "Rock Solid-Building Hearts of Faith" Curriculum. Come study God's Word with us and make some new friends, too.
Children's Church - 10:30 am - Children's Church at WUMC is an opportunity for children to worship God in a kid-friendly setting. Preschool Children's Church begins at 10:30 am and parents can drop off their 3, 4, and 5 year olds (not yet in kindergarten) before our 10:30 am worship service. Children in K-4th grade are invited to their Children's Church following the children's message in the 10:30 worship service.
In both our Pre-K and Children's Church kids sing praise songs, share their joys and concerns, and learn about God's loving presence in their lives. Through interactive lessons our children learn the joy of worshipping God at an early age and how to express their faith, love and hope in God.
Special Events Our Kid Connection Ministry team sponsors many special events, outreaches, and holiday celebrations, throughout the year. Our 2010 events include: our annual Easter celebration and egg hunt, Vacation Bible School, a "Back-to-School Bash" at Willard's water park and Trunk-or-Treat. The children not only have fun and build friendships at these events, but learn the meaning of loving & serving God and others.
