Frequently Asked Questions  When are worship services? We have 2 services each Sunday morning: A traditional service at 9:00 am, and a contemporary service at 10:30 am. What should I wear? Feel free to wear whatever clothes make you feel most comfortable. Most people dress very casual and many wear jeans. How long are your services? Each service is about 1 hour. What are your services like? The 9:00 am service is a traditional Methodist service for those who connect to God through hymns and liturgy. We utilize both our piano and organ and hear great specials from the Willard UMC Choir. The music at the 10:30 am is contemporary with electric guitars, drums, keyboards and a full band that loves to lead in worship to God. The sermon in both services is identical and offers bible-based, relevant teaching. Between our two services, you are invited to our commons area to talk more with people you've met and grab a cup of coffee and a donut. Will I have to say anything, sign anything, or give anything? While we hope you will feel welcomed at Willard UMC, rest assured that you won't be put on the spot, singled-out, or embarrassed. Though we do receive an offering from our church family, we don't want anyone to feel obligated to give. We do like to collect some basic information from people on our connect cards, but if you'd prefer not to, that's all right with us. What about my kids? A staffed nursery is available each Sunday morning for ages birth - 3 years. At our 9:00 am service, children may attend a Sunday School class for their age group. Greeters at our front door will take you to the appropriate class and to meet your child's teacher. Pre-K Worship (Ages 3-5) & Kids Worship (Ages K-4), are exciting and interactive worship services for kids, and are offered during the 10:30 am service. All of our children's volunteers are Safe Sanctuary trained and background checked. Parents are always welcome to attend and observe any of our children's ministries. What about my preteen and teens? We have a great youth pastor and youth program that encompasses youth 5th-12th grades. Sunday School classes are offered for each age group at 9:00 am. A variety of other activities, events and small groups are offered for youth.
